The focus is on high quality in small batches, with completely manual production and direct monitoring. Although we will gladly use entirely local raw materials, this endeavor will be subordinate to the quality aspects.
Smögen Whisky AB was founded in the summer of 2009, with the aim of establishing a distillery for small-scale production of a real malt whisky from the Bohus-based west coast, with great character and sea-related influences. Production and, for the time being, the entire warehouse stock is located on the farm Ståleröd, just southwest of Hunnebostrand, just a mile north of Smögenön, in Sotenäs municipality.
